Frontiers of Science Institute was created in 1959, inspired by the launch of Sputnik. FSI's goal is to provide students with knowledge and experiences to engage them in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field. With a strong focus on gender equality and location diversity, juniors and seniors with a passion for science are chosen to participate. This year thirty-one students where chose from all over Colorado. The program is sponsored by MAST, and directed by Lori Ball.
